VITEC MIN-KEL (Kelp with added Minerals)

1. DRENCH. Min-Kel can be used alone or in conjunction with other drenches. This guarantees intake at the desirable level. Some drench guns may require diluting 50:50 with water
2. ADDED TO FEED. Min-Kel can be added to feeds just before feeding by watering can or similar method. Spraying on pasture immediately before grazing is also effective.
3. ADDED TO WATER TROUGHS. Also effective but should be done early in the day to ensure maximum utilisation

DOSAGE RATES

1. BACKGROUND DOSE. Min-Kel is most effective when used on a little and often basis. The following amounts should be allowed for every two weeks. If these amounts can be split into several smaller doses within the fortnight – all the better.

Calves 20ml (for stud & show animals 40ml)

Dairy Cows 40ml Goats 5ml Sheep 5ml

Beef Cattle 20ml Alpacas 10ml Pets 2ml

Horses 25ml Pigs 10mL

 

2. STRESS CONDITIONS. During times of adverse weather, feed shortages, precalving etc. the dose can be increased to five times the background dose.

If extra Calcium/Magnesium is required add 5 litres to Min-Kel to 40kg Dolomite (A concentrated source of calcium and magnesium) and make available as a lick.

NOTE: Min-Kel cannot replace an adequate diet. To get the best results from Min-Kel adequate feeding levels should be maintained.
